With 20-years of experience in the fashion industry, Letty de Paz always knew that she wanted to design her own women's collection. She moved to Los Angeles from her native Peru in 1985 to pursue her dream. However, her dream shifted a bit after she purchased a pair of baby shoes as a gift and absolutely fell in love with them. "I loved the softness and the workmanship. I loved the way they were manufactured, so I contacted the company about starting my own line" Paz said. Thus Pazitos, which translate into "small steps" and plays off her own last name, was born.

Pazitos maintains the quality that originally drew the designer to children's shoes and combines it with a sophisticated styling that she found to be lacking in the market. When designing her collection, de Paz imagines that she is a child and creates pieces that entice and inspire her youthful spirit. "A child is life and the colors need to express that - they need to be vibrant and fun," she said.
